Summer
By far the busiest time of year in Cascade- and for good reason. The lake is gorgeous, the restaurants are buzzing, and the weather is toasty during the day and cool in the evenings.
If you are okay with more traffic around the dome and having people around isn’t a bother to you, this is a great season to experience the dome in.
The Best Activities:
- Kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake
- Foraging for huckleberries and morels
- Stargazing (lots of summer meteor showers)

Fall
We might be a little biased, but fall is the best time to visit Cascade. The nights creep in a bit earlier, the weather is crisp and it is quieter as school starts back up. By far, our favorite time to visit!
The Best Activities:
- Wildlife sight seeing
- Getting cozy around the wood stove
- Morning coffee walks on Crown Point Trail
